Alterfin invests in microfinance and sustainable agriculture in Latin America, Africa and Asia. The cooperative society Alterfin was founded in 1994 and is a form of cooperation between North South organisations, financial institutions, social organisations, some companies and over 6,000 private individuals.
Alterfin’s goal is to improve the livelihoods and living conditions of socially and economically disadvantaged people and communities, predominantly in rural areas in low- and middle-income countries around the world.
